UPDATE 2019: This cafe is now under new management and has changed names to Eat N Chill Wholefood Cafe
On my last visit back to Australia my mum and I went on a coffee date to a lovely little cafe she’d discovered within the suburbs of Sydney’s affluent North Shore.
Sprout Wholefood Cafe & Grocer in Naremburn isn’t exclusively vegan or vegetarian but they serve an array of vegan cakes so Mum knew it would be right up my street. They use mainly organic ingredients and as the name suggests, they serve unprocessed wholefoods where possible.
Along with our lattes, mum and I shared a slice of flaxseed banana bread and a huge piece of Cherry Ripe cheesecake. Oh. Em. Gee. It was insane!
If you’re not Australian, you may not know of the iconic Cherry Ripe chocolate bar; they’re basically cherry and desiccated coconut bars covered in dark chocolate. I don’t like the chocolate bars themselves but goodness, this cake was divine! Highly, highly recommend.
If you’re in Sydney, treat yourself to the delicious eats at Sprout. I mean, seriously, look at it…

Oh, and the coffee was really good too!
