Germany is one of my favourite places for veggie food. That may come as a surprise seeing as it’s generally known for bratwurst and schnitzel; however, I’ve always found it to be one of the easiest countries in which to find delicious and often innovative vegetarian and vegan food.
I’ve done a lot of travelling both as a vegetarian and a vegan with pretty mixed experiences. It’s not always been easy to find good food or have my dietary requirements understood.

You may think that Eastern Europe would be a difficult region in which to find vegan food. Especially a fairly small city like Riga. And sure, if you went to a traditional Latvian restaurant, you’d probably be right.
Denmark’s capital Copenhagen is not exactly known for vegan cuisine; yet like most modern cosmopolitan cities, vegan food is becoming more and more prevalent.
My blog went pretty quiet in December. I went back “home home” to Sydney for my first family Christmas in almost a decade (!) and despite my best intentions to blog whilst away, my time was spent enjoying myself with family and friends.
I did spend a lot of time eating, which I like to think of as blog prep. And now that I’m back in chilly London, I’m excited to relive a little summer by sharing my best foodie finds from Sydney.
