The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown us – without warning – into a strange new world. With many of us now in various states of lockdown or quarantine – an extreme shift in how we live our day-to-day lives – we need to remember that mental health is just as important as physical health.

This week (13th-19th May) was Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression a few years ago, so it’s a cause very close to my heart. Along with the likes of Prince William, Stephen Fry and Nadiya Hussain, I wanted to get involved somehow.
World Mental Health Day – My Story
Well, this isn’t going to be an easy post to write. But as it’s World Mental Health Day, it feels like the right time. Only recently have I opened up my blog to people outside my immediate family and a few friends. Now I’m writing the most personal post I’ve ever written. Crap.
