I’m a big fan of coffee.
Okay, “fan” is an understatement; I basically don’t function without my morning caffeine hit. And what could be better than simply drinking a cup of Joe to wake yourself up? Bathing in it! So, when the lovely folk at Naturelle Cosmetics kindly sent me a pack of their Royal Coffee Scrub to test out, I enthusiastically took on the challenge!

Naturelle Royal Coffee Scrub
There’s six floral and fruity varieties in the range and I tested out the indulgent and refreshing Chocolate Orange. Made from 100% organic ingredients, the scrub is full of delicious skin boosting goodness. There’s a blend of coffee seed powders, natural oils (avocado, jojoba, almond and orange), and cocoa seed butter in one delicious-smelling sachet, which exfoliate, moisturise and brighten skin.
The benefits of coffee as a body scrub are vast and varied. Coffee exfoliates and smooths skin, has anti-inflammatory properties, improves blood flow, and can even reduce the appearance of cellulite (only temporarily, dammit!) by firming the skin.
Caffeine is an antioxidant so it’s said that coffee scrubs can also help reduce visible signs of ageing such as wrinkles, sunspots and fine lines.
My Review
On top of all this, the scrub smells amazing! The strong coffee and refreshing orange scents definitely revived me after a busy week at work.
After a good scrub, my skin felt revived as well. It was seriously soft and smooth, in a way that my everyday skin routine just can’t compare with.
Post scrub, the strong coffee smell washed away, leaving my skin smelling more like zingy orange with just a hint of coffee and cocoa.
There was no oily residue on my skin (though I suggest a good rinse of your shower or bath post-scrub – this stuff gets everywhere!) and it felt brighter and more hydrated.
I used the scrub weekly over a few weekends, each time my skin feeling just that little bit more lush.
At £9.95 for 200g, Royal Coffee Scrub may seem a tad pricey. However, the chemical-free scrub is a real treat for your skin and a little goes a long way; you’ll get multiple pamper sessions out of one pouch!
All products by family-run Naturelle are vegan-friendly, certified organic, and come in cute, recyclable packaging. On top of this, the brand are against animal testing, which gives them major points in my book!
I can honestly say that I’m a coffee scrub convert. But then, it’s coffee so why should I be surprised?!

Sounds like my kind of scrub! I’ve tried the Coffee Scrub and I’ll be sharing my thoughts on it soon. I’ll put this down as a future scrub to try for my face and body!
It’s really lovely! Hope you like it. 🙂
