Cumbria, a county in North-West England is home to very few vegetarian restaurants. As I spent my Christmas break in a Cumbrian town, driving distance from one of these restaurants, it seemed rude not to pay said restaurant a visit.

Finding good vegan food when you travel can be tricky. But it’s getting easier. Travel is a massive part of my life and I love exploring new cities and countries, experiencing everything from local culture to nature to food.

The Gate, Hammersmith – Trendy Vegetarian Food
For Matt’s birthday last year, we went to the well-renowned veggie restaurant The Gate in Islington, North London. And it was amazing.
Vegetarian and Vegan Finds in Barcelona & Valencia
Spain has been at the top of my ‘To Visit’ list for a long time and Barcelona has been at the top of the top. When a friend and I recently made it to Spain’s second-most populated city (after capital Madrid), I fell hard and fast for it. Barcelona also turned out to be oneContinue reading Vegetarian and Vegan Finds in Barcelona & Valencia
The Mighty Fork – Mighty Good (Vegan) Hot Dogs!

Do you find waiters a little pesky? Do you wish you could see a life-size version of your meal before you order it? And are you perhaps someone who likes the idea of playing a quick game of Battleships in between courses?
Tibits – A Vegetarian Buffet in London
I have the week off work this week (amazing, I know!) so as a lady of leisure, I decided to join a friend for lunch.
A Vegetarian in Italy – BVeg Restaurant, Florence
You know a place has good food when the staff all sit down together in the restaurant to eat their lunch! That was certainly the case at the modern but charming BVeg vegetarian restaurant in Florence.
An Italian Take on Vegetarian Food at Un Sorriso Integrale, Naples
Located just off a quiet piazza, away from the dingy streets of Naples, vegetarian restaurant Un Sorriso Integrale is like a little slice of heaven. And after eating pizza, pasta and bread for days on end, a menu filled with tofu dish after tofu dish was a sight for sore eyes!
Cornmeal Crust Vegetarian Pizza at London’s Otto
In an area of London made famous by Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in some 90s film you may possibly have heard off, lies a quaint little pizza establishment by the name of Otto.
Going Raw Vegan at Saf Restaurant in London
It was bad enough when I told people I went to a vegetarian restaurant at the weekend but when you say the words “vegan restaurant” to someone, they generally give you one of those disdainful “glad it’s you, not me” looks or make some throwaway comment about how going out for “rabbit food” is not a properContinue reading Going Raw Vegan at Saf Restaurant in London
