Oh, Hi There!

After a friend recently went on a vegan trial and wrote an instantly popular blog about it, I was motivated to finally get my butt into gear and start my own blog.

I have wanted to write a blog for the longest time but the main thing stopping me, aside from plain laziness, is that I have never really been able to pinpoint just one topic I wanted to write about. Now, I like to use the term ‘inspiration’ rather than ‘blatant rip-off’ but now I have it… Food. Vegetarian food to be more specific.

Before you disappear from this page faster than you can say, “pass the hot wings”, let me assure you that not all vegos are preachy hippies. In fact, I don’t know many that are. I am not starting a blog to try and convert people into vegetarianism (though, secretly, I would love it if it happened every now and then…); I am starting the blog because I love food. I love cooking it, I love smelling it, I love looking at it, I love taking photos of it and most of all, I love eating it. I just don’t love eating animals. But I don’t really care if you do. It’s a personal choice, for personal reasons. And I can assure you that being vegetarian does not mean that I eat like a rabbit. Hence, the name of the blog.

I am not 100% sure what this blog will become as yet but it will not be a recipe/cooking blog. It will likely be a fusion of recipes, restaurant and product reviews, random food musings and whatever else I can make even slightly relevant.

Who knows what lies ahead in the land of blog?  Go heat up some greens or even those hot wings and stay tuned to find out…

    1. Thanks, Catherine!

I’ve never heard of that song before but it made me laugh! We are cruel, cruel people indeed…

Sorry to hear you’re not loving vegetarianism – maybe my blog will eventually sway you… ;-)

      1. Maybe it will!

The trouble is, of course, that I *do* love vegetarianism about half the time – we normally eat meat about three times a week at present – but doing it full-time when work is crazy is hard, because it adds an extra layer of difficulty to thinking about food when I’m tired.

      2. Hmm, maybe I need to do a post sometime about quick, easy and delicious meat-free meals…

I love cooking and creating but after a late finish at work when I’m tired and uninspired, I need something quick and easy, yet a bit more exciting than cheese on toast!

  1. Hi! I’m looking forward to seeing your entires! If you ever want to try something new, stop on by!

  2. Looking forward to reading your future posts! Totally love how positive & all-inclusive this post is

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog! I am not a vegetarian although I eat mostly vegetarian for financial reasons, and to be totally honest, I don’t miss meat/fish AT ALL. However, if meat were cheaper than vegetables, I’d eat it, if you know what I mean. I am looking forward to reading more!! :) I looooove vegetarian food so I’m sure I’ll find some good stuff in here!

    1. Thanks for checking out mine!

I am more than happy to have meat-eating visitors to my blog. Especially those that appreciate good veggie food, whatever the reason!

Hope you find some stuff you like! =)

  4. Liking what you’ve got so far! I’m also new to the blogging world, and I hope you’re enjoying the adventure as much as I am!

    1. Thanks for checking out my blog! I am very much enjoying it so far – I get so excited every time I get a ‘like’ or a comment. Haha! So thanks again! =P

Just checked out your blog – your zucchini bread looks AMAZING! So making that.
